"Nobody kicks a dead dog"
(Famous words worth remembering often)
Let's be honest if you do make it big, which I hope you do... get ready for criticism from all angles. But consider this, if people are talking about your art either positively or negatively at least they're talking, your art did it's job :)
Avoid dead dog syndrome, and make your goldmine idea come to fruition. Take it all the way, because why not, if you don't, someone else will.
Embrace the criticism, it's the nature of the artistic beast.
This is true. Plus, the people doing most of the criticizing are probably doing because they're unhappy they're not doing what they want to do.
ReplyDeleteI don't know where "Nobody kicks a dead dog" came from, but I refer to it all the time
ReplyDeleteI look at it this way
If you haven't done anything to brag about, then people don't get jealous and or envious of you and they have nothing to say so they say nothing
Nobody kicks a dead dog
However, on the other hand if you are doing quite great and accomplishing your wishes and dreams, then lots of people who aren't doing well have lots of shit to say, They love to kick the dead dog.
